Terms of use — Groupmail Community
These terms govern access to and use of Groupmail Community (this site). The Groupmail email platform itself is governed by separate terms — see groupmail.io/terms.
1. What this service is
Groupmail Community is a read-only public archive of newsletters that publishers have chosen to make accessible on the web. Each newsletter is authored, sent, and published by an independent third party using Groupmail. Groupmail hosts and displays the archive but does not endorse, edit, or take editorial responsibility for newsletter content.
2. Acceptable use
When you read or share content here you agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content other than via the published feeds, sitemaps, and per-page share affordances we provide. Reasonable, non-commercial reading and citation are welcome.
- Republish whole newsletters elsewhere without the author's permission. Excerpts with attribution + a link back are fine.
- Use the site to distribute malware, phish, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with a publisher or the Groupmail brand.
- Subscribe an email address you don't control to a publisher's list, or otherwise abuse the subscription forms.
3. Publisher content
Each newsletter remains the intellectual property of its author. By publishing to Groupmail Community, the author grants Groupmail the right to host and display the content here. Authors can request removal of their own content at any time via their Groupmail account; readers can flag content for review using the Report content page.
4. Reporting and removal
We act on credible reports of copyright infringement, harassment, threats, malware, illegal content, and material breaches of these terms. Reports are reviewed by Groupmail. We may remove content, restrict an archive page, or suspend a publisher's archive access where warranted. See the Report content page for how to submit a report.
5. Subscriptions
Subscribing to a newsletter from this site routes through the Groupmail platform — those terms govern the subscription relationship between you and the publisher. The unsubscribe link in every newsletter and on each archive page is the canonical way to end a subscription.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the archive available, but provide it on an "as is" basis. We may take pages offline temporarily for maintenance, or permanently when a publisher closes their account, archives a newsletter, or content is removed under section 4.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Groupmail is not liable for damages arising from the content of any newsletter on the archive, your use of any link from a newsletter, or for any third-party service that newsletter content references. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else liability cannot be limited for under applicable law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top.
